The Berantai field is situated approximately 200 kilometers offshore east of Kemaman Supply Base (KSB) in Malaysia.
Discovery History and Exploration Activities
- First Gas Discovery: October 29, 2012

Existing Wells
- 6 exploration wells drilled between 1978-2011 (BR-1, BR-2, BR-3, BR-4, BR-5 & BRE-1)
- 14 production wells were drilled from a platform by previous operator (Petrofac)
- 2 appraisal wells drilled in Nov 2018 and 3 infill wells drilled in year 2021 (BRA-13, BRA-16, BRA-17)

- Tembikai-1 (1989) – Exploration (Wildcat) type. P&A discovered gas condensate

Irong PSC, Jitang (Wellhead Platform)
The Jitang TNAG and TNAG-OWF fields, located approximately 154 kilometers offshore Kerteh, Malaysia, have emerged as significant contributors to the country’s energy landscape. Discovered by Petronas Carigali in 2016 and developed by VPSB, these fields have demonstrated their potential to bolster Malaysia’s energy security and economic growth. It is part of Irong Cluster PSC that operated by VPSB on 1 Jul 17 – 30 Jun 2032 (15 years).
